Arrayanes National Park

Characteristics:
It conserves an almost pure myrtle forest where the amount of samples and degree of development of the trees make it one of the main attractions of the excursions from Bariloche. It is situated in the extreme south of the Quetrihué Peninsula, from where it can be accessed by land or by boat from Villa La Angostura and Bariloche.
Location: Southwest of Neuquén.

Surface: 4,547 acres or 1,840 hectares.

Main Accommodation Sites: San Carlos de Bariloche and Villa La Angostura.

Main Points of Interest: The Myrtle Forests and Laguna Patagua.

Activities: Hike along the Quetrihué Peninsula, observation of flora and fauna, bird watching.

Recommended Season: November to April.

In Combination with other Parks: Nahuel Huapi National Park, Lanín National Park, Lago Puelo National Park and Los Alerces National Park.
